Work with me

Trauma-informed | Psychospiritual Psychotherapy

What My Clients Often Bring to Our Work

Many of the people who come to me are carrying deep emotional weight a mix of overwhelm, grief, anger, shame, fear, or a lingering sense of not feeling good enough.

They often describe looping in unhelpful thoughts, feeling exhausted, anxious, or lost, and struggling to find clarity or direction in their lives.

There’s usually an awareness that something unresolved from the past or present is still shaping how they feel and relate.

They may have been through something complex or traumatic, and despite attempts of trying to “move on,” a part of them knows that real healing needs to happen on a deeper level, within the body and nervous system.

By the time they reach out, they’ve often explored yoga, workshops, talk therapy, or other healing practices — yet sense that something is still missing.

They’re ready to go beyond understanding why they feel this way, and instead learn how to gently regulate, feel, and release what’s held beneath the surface.

This work supports them in returning to a state of safety and peace within themselves — to move from anxiety, self-criticism, and emotional overwhelm toward confidence, resilience, and inner calm.

It’s for those who are ready to step into their healing fully, with guidance and compassionate structure.

My Philosophy

Life can be both beautiful and painful, and so often, we do everything we can to avoid truly feeling our bodies. From my own experience and my work with others, I see that this avoidance is at the root of much of our suffering.

I experienced complex trauma in my childhood, leading to addiction and dissociation. I am a deeply sensitive soul that had been hardened by my experiences. I became strong,  slightly aggressive and wore a strong armour of protection around my heart.

I was everybody else's rock to lean on and yet I was unable to take proper care of myself. I had no boundaries unless I was pushed, then I'd express them aggressively.

When the coping mechanisms i'd created were creating difficulties in my everyday life and relationships, I felt a strong calling in 2017 to travel to Peru and heal in the Amazon jungle with the Shipibo lineage.

This opened me up in a profound way, it was terrifying and beautiful at the same time. The ceremonies cracked me open and I wasn't ready to see or feel as much as I did.

When I came home after trying lots of different modalities. I eventually found a fully qualified nervous system specialist, to help me process and integrate. Eventually, she became my teacher and I completed my Trauma training with her.

Working with her was life changing, enabling me to integrate my jungle experiences and understand how my trauma was impacting my body and my responses. Finding a properly qualified and experienced therapist is invaluable.

Because this work isn't a "quick fix" it takes time for the body and mind to learn what safety feels like.

Our empowerment comes from re-learning how to surf the emotional waves. Slowing down feeling it all, learning ways to grow from the challenges. Each time, healing and expanding, step by step.
