Trauma-informed | Integrative Psychotherapy
 
My work explores the hidden layers of the psyche, the unconscious parts of us that shape how we feel, act and relate. 

​

We all carry parts of ourselves that were pushed aside in order to cope or to belong: Emotions we couldn't feel, roles we took on, gifts and talents we have pushed aside or shut down and patterns inherited from family and culture. 

​

In our work together, these parts are gently invited into awareness and given space to express themselves. 

​

We explore through breathwork, gentle movement, expression, emotional release, mediative states and speaking to and identifying different parts of ourselves. 

​

This approach is less talking and more feeling/sensing therapy. It is deep embodied work that includes the body, the nervous system and the emotions.

Freeing your energy

So many of us live from the neck up, overthinking, looping in self-doubt, or stuck in survival patterns. Leading to feelings of tiredness, anxiety and feeling stuck. Real healing happens in both, the mind and the body.
 
Stress, trauma, and emotion live in the muscles, tissues, and breath. They shape how we move, speak, connect, and cope.
 

In suppressing or hiding parts of ourselves we use an immense amount of energy, this can leave us feeling exhausted and lacking zest for some, if not all, areas of life.

Once these aspects of ourselves have been met, felt and understood. We can reclaim and free up our energy and start to live life more from a place of expansion rather than contraction.
